Barend Brouwer (1872-1936) – Blossom
Barend or Berend Brouwer was taught by Bartus Korteling in Deventer. He then studied at the Drawing Academy in Antwerp and then two years at the Academy of The Hague. Was friends with and also student of Th. de Bock. Lived in Voorburg from 1923, painted landscapes and forest views. Much of his work has been “changed” to that of Th. de Bock. He was a member of Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam. What applies to all painters, one canvas is not the other. This is a particularly beautiful work by the painter. Will receive an appropriate list.
