Johan Adolph Rust (1828-1915) – Maritiem
Johan Rust lived and worked in Amsterdam and was taught at the academy of his uncle, the famous painter Cornelis Springer. Hulk was later one of Rust’s students, who made many maritime paintings. In 1856 Rust was a member of “Arti et Amicitiae” in Amsterdam.
